Assembly can be performed by our own experienced technicians or by the customer. A crane and several basic tools are all that are needed.

Twelve coupling points are available on each side of the container pontoon. Couplings are located in a watertight compartment that is accessible via a flush manhole. Assembly is simplified by placing a lead pin in the uppermost corner of the pontoon's long side.

During container pontoon assembly, the lead pin is inserted into the corresponding female coupling element on the adjacent pontoon.

Bolts on the male coupling elements are then inserted into the corresponding female coupling elements on the adjacent pontoon and then tightened using a regular impact wrench.

Once all the container pontoons have been assembled, each bolt on the male coupling element is pre-tensioned/tightened using a torque wrench to achieve a clamping force of 280 kN.
